Hat is made of felt and leather. I do not know much about it other than it may be Austrian or some Germanic country. I leave that up to the professionals. Condition is overall good or very good. Lots of pictures taken. Interior of hat in very good condition as well. Under front edge of hat under button now some minor damage.
14 inches from side to side, 6 inches height, 6.5 inches width.

Thanks, George. If you can transcribe the writing on the inside that might help me narrow down the dating and maker a bit more (possibly ending in a higher value). Otherwise, you're all set with this.
Hi Delia,
I know nothing of the hat. I think the second hand store thought it was a Halloween costume type hat. They had it with the Halloween materials. When I saw it I knew it was unique. It did not have a box or anything it was just sitting there by itself.
Thank you,
George R Luce
