What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and information provided, this is a Buescher True-Tone Alto Saxophone with silver and gold plating. The piece bears the serial number 116351 dating its manufacture to 1922 to 1923. The piece includes a hard case which is in fair to poor condition, not unexpected for its age. The saxophone itself is in good condition, but it does show signs of playwear in some of the plating being worn along with some slight oxidation, but no major dings or repairs. The photographs indicate that new corks and pads are possibly needed and general maintenance should be performed. Based on prior auction sales, its fair market value as-is is estimated at $200 to $300 USD.
