Dial (white) measures about 5/8 inch in diameter. Has Arabic and Dot Indices Mechanical - no battery ------------- On the front of the watch it says: Gruen Veri-thin Switzerland ------------- On back of watch it says: Switzerland Conoruma Veri-Thin, Patented 15 Jewels 1-3502S (or 1-35025) GXC Gruen Watch Company Unadjusted ------------- On the outside of the back watch case it reads Gruen Guildite base metal ------------ Inside of back watch case is difficult to read, but I think what is printed in it says: Cased & Timed in USA The Gruen Watch Co. 10 KT gold filled bezel 385 / 211 4482273 ------------- And scratched onto the inside of the watch case back (also hard to read), it says: "D-12-4-42 (or D-12-4-47) 7/21/42M (or 7/21/48M) ------------- The band has a closure I am not familiar with. I was able to close it but cannot open it. Don't know whether that is a flaw or just my lack of know-how.
