White kitten made of hair (fur) from the Orient
Mother
This is a 20th century Chinese 'suzhou' which is a double sided silk embroidered picture. The picture is on a carved wood mount in round frame. The kitten, depicted on both sides playing with a cricket or preying mantis, is rendered in silk thread and not from real cat fur. These are popular tourist gifts from China. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
It is 13 1/2” tall, it’s is two sided
I’m trying to send additional pictures but having trouble
I’ll keep trying
What is the size of this? Is this two-sided? Also please add clear, in-focus, extreme close-ups of the kitten to show the texture of the surface.
