My grandma
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a cute doll.
However after having examined the photos very carefully we have come to the conclusion that it is not an antique doll, but was made in recent years as a kind of souvenir/memorabilia doll.
The colours of the paint and the porcelain are not right compared to antique shoulderhead dolls with black painted hair. Also the face has the wrong characteristics compared to an antique doll. The material of the body could be cloth however the seams appears to be made on a sewing machine.
Unfortunately many of shoulderhead dolls were made several years ago in order to supply the demand for antique dolls, however these are without sales value as they were mass produced.
The sentimental value it represents to you will be much higher than the market value.
I am very sorry for the unfortunate news.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
