36" wide x 20" deep x 32" high. Hardwood with glossy black lacquer finish, accented with semicircular bronze handle plaques (combined diameter 10.5"), upward-turned "pagoda"-style side details, and inward curved feet. Overall excellent condition with only a few minor blemishes and lightly worn lower edges.
Owned by my parents in Scottsdale since the late 1950's, who were told by the original owner from whom they purchased the piece that it was imported from China in the early 1900's.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a chinese style 1950s lacquer chest, with two doors decorated with a central round brass ornament. The combination of solid and plywood, the hinges, the screws, the sprayed on lacquer on the inside and especially the magnets all point to the late 1950s as the time of production. Small stylish vintage furniture usually sells well today. The estimate is based on similar items sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
