I purchased these items years ago at a local Antiques and Collectibles that allowed individuals to consign items. I purchased from a fellow who dealt in antiques because I loved the color scheme. I had not seen ginger jars in shades of green before. They are Chinese and have a marking on the bottom which I cannot find on the internet. Both are in excellent condition. I cannot find any flaws.

Hello, this item is a pair of Chinese porcelain ginger jars with matching lids, each decorated in polychrome enamels on a black ground. The bodies are painted with plum blossoms, bamboo, and mountainous landscapes in the traditional famille noire palette, popular during the late Qing dynasty and revived in the early 20th century. The mark on the base appears to be a red-printed “Kangxi Nian Zhi” (康熙年製) apocryphal reign mark, a common feature of decorative porcelain made in Jingdezhen during the Republic period (1912–1949). The craftsmanship and decorative motifs indicate these are high-quality export pieces inspired by 18th-century imperial wares.
In terms of value, pairs of famille noire ginger jars from the Republic period in excellent condition typically range between 800 and 1,200 USD at auction, depending on glaze quality, condition, and provenance.
