Description

Six presumably Chinese, vivid color print on rice paper. One of series of six in my possession. Four fowl prints. Two "Mandarin" portrait prints. Fowl prints framed 8 x 10. Portrait prints framed 6 x 8. All taken from an album located in Des Moines Iowa in 1947. Album had a 'puffy" red cloth cover. There were quite a few other prints, but the rice paper basically disintegrated.

What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting Mearto. These are Chinese rice paper prints, probably produced during the early 20th or late 19th century. These kinds of prints vary in price, but generally, one goes for around $20. The drawings that you mentioned had deteriorated probably can’t be sold, but the Fair Market Value for the set of 6 is $100 to $140.
