What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting Mearto.

These are a pair of very large qinghua (cobalt blue and white) vases from China. Based on the painting style, and lack of signs of wear, they were made within the last 50 years. They are reproductions of traditional Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) vases.

The repeating patterns around the base and neck are in a style representative of historic Middle Eastern artistic influences on Chinese art.

The vases portray several mounted soldiers wearing traditional armor and headdresses. In the background are mountains and trees, possibly a depiction of the Huangshan (Yellow Mountains) region.

Based on sales of similar items, the Fair Market Value for the pair is between $500 and $600.
