Handcrafted bisque porcelain; hand-tailored fabric, trimmings, and accessories; 16 inches tall; 7 inches wide; certificate of authenticity and display stand included
I received the doll as a gift from my grandmother when I was a young child. The doll has only been removed from the box to verify the certificate of authenticity.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful doll. Such replica dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
This type of doll were very popular in the late 1900s and early 2000s. They were made to resemble antique dolls and are very detailed and beautifully decorated with clothes, accessories and wigs in the antique fashion.
These dolls were often made in large lots and today they are still collectors items however the prices have not increased a lot compared to the original retail value. Despite the good condition you doll is in the second hand price is fairly low.
There were many manufacturers of this type of replica dolls.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online doll auction, where I believe the lovely doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
