101/300 numbered. Signed.
There is a certificate of authenticity included but I have not been able to find the series numbered 300. There is a lithograph series of 350
Hello again Andrew,
Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. Again, I am very sorry for the couple hours delay on your items and I am very grateful for your patience. The item presented appears to be color lithograph designed by Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904 – 1989) titled "Birth of Venus."The print appears to be signed and numbered 101 of an edition of 300 the lower margin.
The original print was published by Levine and Levine in 1979 and consisted of seven different editions, none of which are noted as an edition of 300. Because your print is editioned 300 and not one of the original known ediitons, I would suggest further authentication of the print. There are many reproductions and reprints of Dali's lithographic works.
The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of authentic lithographs by Salvador Dali, titled "Birth of Venus," featuring the DalArt blind stamp. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary and the estimate is contingent of the object's authenticity. Thank you and please take care.
Hello Andrew. Thank you for that information regarding the paper to the back. Unfortunately, this makes a big difference. Neither, Dail or Chagall authorized giclée reproductions. There for both prints are third party reproductions without the artist or artist's estates permission. I have updated the estimate on both items to reflect the fair market value of a limited edition giclée after the artist.
The certificate on the back stated these are plate signed Giclee if that makes a difference. Same with the Chagall.
