This was a gift from my grandmother in 94. It's never left its box and its in mint condition. It's around 18 inches long.
My grandmother gave it as a gift for me back in 1994. I have her old receipts too.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful and very well kept Danbury doll. Such vintage toys are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The Shirley Temple Little princess doll is a true collectors item. It was designed by Elke Hutchins for Danbury Mint. She designed a variety of dolls with different expressions and names. Based on you description and the photos it is very clear that this doll is in mint condition and has been well preserved since it was bought in the 1990s. This is very important for potential buyers and collectors. And the fact that you have the original receipt adds to the value. An actual selling price may be even higher based on the very good condition and originality of the doll.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys and dolls auction, where I believe the Danbury Little princess doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
