The raised or textured areas of paint indicate the medium is encaustic which is paint and pigments mixed with beeswax. Although this is signed Denise Green, it is not the same Denise Green cited on the attached entry of past auction sales. The Denise Green cited on the attached piece of paper is an Abstract artist. Her works are markedly different from this realist townscape scene. In addition the Denise Green who is an Abstract painter moved from Australia to New York City in 1969. This picture has the artist's address as living in Queensland in 1987. This work an original, however by an unlisted artist with the name Denise Green. The estimate is based on past sale records of comparables.
