Desk/Secretary
Two piece desk/secretary - bottom contains three drawers and measures 39” wide, 18” deep and 32”tall. Maybe mahogany or cherry wood. Some damage to bottom. The top has glass doors with two shelves and three small drawers. It sits on top of the bottom chest. It is 42” tall and 10” deep with a deeper piece on top. There is a decorative trim on the interior glass doors and the front closing door.
It was owned by my great aunt who lived In Massachusetts so it has to be at least 160 years old if not more.

An Empire mahogany veneered desk and bookcase
American, probably New England, second quarter 19th Century (roughly 1825-1850)
In two sections, the upper section with triangular pitched pediment over two glazed (glass) cabinet doors opening to an adjustable shelved interior, over three short drawers, the lower section fitted with a hinged lined writing surface over three long drawers, on bracket feet.
74 inches overall height, 39 inches wide, 18 inches deep
CONDITION: wear appears to be commensurate with age and use
