packed in cloth, not leather. 16" tall x5" wide approx. Can't find any identification on feet or back of head or elsewhere. Can send a picture via text if that helps Thanks, John
They belonged to my wife who died in 2007. I don't know any history. I believe they were christmas presents.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful collection of dolls. Such collectors dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The dolls were all made in the last part of the 1900s as copies of antique dolls. However they were made as collectors items to resemble antique dolls from the late 1800s and early 1900s. They have clothes and hairstyle that match the early 1900s. Today there are quite a lot of these dolls on the market and the second hand value is not always as high as the original retail value. The appraisal is for the entire collection of all 8 dolls assuming that they are all in good condition without any chips, hairlines or restorations to the heads.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the dolls has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the doll collection. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Thank you
Your item will be presented for several auction houses, but they tend only to be interested in items worth more than $1000. I would recommend eBay for these kinds of items because of the extended amount of buyers on the platform. You would have to make an ebay account and upload photos and description.

Thank you
Can you set these dolls up for auction? Should I wait a while and see if I get any offers from this site. This is all new to me.
If you can handle the auctioning of these dolls, would you please let me know your terms and condition.
Thanks for your response,
John
