Wood, looks like maybe plaster carvings? ( see wire in a few cracks) covered with gold leif, 3 chains and tassels hanging from eagles beak back is wood and l have found no markings

A Federal carved and gilt gesso convex pier mirror
American, probably late 19th Century
Surmounted by a wingspread eagle with swag chains over stylized acanthus leaves, the circular convex frame with 13 applied stars, over a scrolled waterleaf and acanthus drop pendant.
41 inches high, width 24 inches
CONDITION: appears to be in generally good overall condition; minor wear with some cracking commensurate to age.
