Fernand leger
Fernand leger
Hello Yassine,
Thank you for submitting this item for an appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a depiction of two female figures in the style of Fernand Léger (French, 1881-1955). The dimensions and materials of the work are unknown. I presume that the work has been attributed to Léger due to the presence of the initials "F.L" in what appears to be the bottom right corner of the composition. This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
Unfortunately, the quality of the composition is not comparable to authenticated works by Léger. Consider the following:

https://www.nga.gov/collection/art-object-page.72169.html

Therefore, the unfortunate conclusion from this investigation is that the work of art presented is most likely a forgery, which holds no market value.
If you have questions or concerns, I would recommend that you get in touch with our authentication team by email at [email protected].
Thank you again and I wish you all the best for this holiday season!
Kind regards,
Anne
