The presented object is a painting made in oil paint on canvas with the measurements of 36 x 30 inches. It depicts a vase with flowers and is signed with the name Mudge. There are some artists with the name Mudge known and listed in auction lists and similar databases, but they are not comparable to this painting in style nor signature. A few paintings made by an artist named A. Mudge are comparable, but there are no details known regarding the biography. This painting was made in the last third of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

That was also my first idea. The reading as an u is also possible and the dot as an overbar. Nevertheless both possible names Midge or Mudge are not to correlate with a listed artist.
