Pistol has been in storage for 45 years. Pistol is an FN 1910 pistol with matching serial numbers. Serial number is 14463 (approximately 1913 I believe). The pistol barrel has been extended (same as 1910/1922 model), but it is not known when. The blueing overall is good but the extension hasn’t been blued. Note the extension bares the pistols serial numbers. The grip has a lanyard ring. The case is based on the 1922 design to accommodate the extension. The soft and worn case has a German manufacturing stamp and nazi symbol. It is marked bla 44. Perhaps the pistol was used in both wars.

Hello, this item is an FN Browning Model 1910 semi automatic pistol chambered in 9 mm Browning Short, manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in Herstal, Belgium, with serial number 14463, placing its production in approximately 1913. The FN 1910 is a historically important John Moses Browning design, widely adopted by military, police, and civilian users across Europe before and during the First World War. This example shows matching serial numbers on the slide and barrel extension, confirming factory originality of the core firearm. The extended barrel configuration corresponds to the later FN 1910 or FN 1922 pattern, however the extension itself is not blued and appears to be a later period modification rather than a factory finished FN 1922 barrel. The presence of a lanyard ring is correct for military oriented examples. The pistol is accompanied by a period leather soft case based on the 1922 pattern, modified to accommodate the longer barrel.
The condition is consistent with long term storage, with generally intact bluing across the frame and slide, localized wear and loss at the muzzle and barrel extension, and visible handling marks throughout. The unblued extension reduces collector value compared to a fully original FN 1910 or factory FN 1922 configuration. The leather holster shows heavy wear and surface loss and bears a German manufacturing stamp with a Nazi era marking and a date code bla 44, confirming Second World War production. While the combination of a World War I era pistol and a World War II German holster creates historical interest, there is no documentation to support confirmed wartime service. Comparable FN 1910 pistols in original configuration typically sell between USD 600 and USD 1,000, while modified examples trade lower. Taking into account the matching numbers, non factory barrel modification, absence of magazine, and worn but period holster, a current market value of approximately USD 500 to USD 750 is appropriate.
