Found this in Arlington Texas around 1996 or 97. It looks to be a tooth to me but could be a claw or something else I have not thought of.

Description
Fossil tooth or bone that is only 2 inches long and 1 and 3/4 wide at its longest points. It's mainly flat on one side and curved on the other side It has what looks to be a hole of some sort on one side at the top and has lines like 2 or 3 that go from the top to the bottom.
