This framed picture of a skiier, appears to be velvety in texture. It has a symbol on the bottom that says Buffalo, maybe that will help you identify its value.. My mother thought this might be valuable, ie due to its maker or style (we are not sure, so we asked you to review it and hopefully give us more background).
Owned by my mother since at least the 80's. She worked in the ski merchandizing industry and acquired it along the way.
Dear Matthew,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and my sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a mid-sized serigraph on paper with unknown measurements. the print depicts a skier with abstract shapes in the background. The print is signed in the plate with the name "Buffalo" beside a Copyright sign. Sadly the artist is not identifiable over his name or over the motif itself. It was probably made in the late 1970s or 1980s.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 30 to 80 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
