Purchased from antique dealer
This is a large mahogany breakfront piece that is in three stacking pieces and includes a green marble top. This would date more to the mid 19th century as opposed to the late 19th century. It has gilded decorative mounts, fine pierced cut carving and is in the French Napoleon III Empire style. It would have been custom-made in an atelier, and likely one of a kind. The estimate is based on actual past recorded auction sales of comparables.
