George Hinke was a relative on my mother’s side. This painting has always remained in the family.

Hinke was best known for his illustration art, seasonal and religious imagery; this is atypical of his work, and fairly small, both characteristics keep the value low.

CONDITION: some crackelure throughout, and minor losses to frame.
PROVENANCE: descended in the client's family, a relative of the artist
