German “Symantha” Gotz Doll
My Grandmother got me this Doll I believe from Germany 80years ago around about, my Grandfather was in the war there. Having a hard time finding information on it, as it’s all in German. But was told by a couple appraisers this doll could be worth a lot.
My grandmother bought this brand new for me in Germany from the company itself that sells them, Gotz Dolls. Time frame I think could be anywhere between 70-100yrs ago not sure but within that time frame. It’s still new in the original box.

It is a lovely vintage doll in original box with original certificate.
The Gotz company started producing dolls in the 1950s in Bavaria in Germany. In 1989 they started producing the Symantha doll that came in several editions. They produced a large number of each doll and today these dolls unfortunately rarely have a value that exceeds the original retail price even when kept in excellent condition and in original box.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the Gotz Symantha doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the sweet doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
