Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and I apologize for the delay. This is a Bodeo Model 1889 pistol, named for Carlo Bodeo, the head of the Italian firearms commission. It is chambered in 10.35mm Ordinanza Italiana. These pistols were a standard military sidearm of the Kingdom of Italy from the 1890s to World War Two, where they were used as reserve weapons. The model 1889 was well regarded, and considered a robust and effective sidearm, which contributed to its longevity of service. This particular example was made by Società Siderurgica Glisenti in Brescia. It is in very good condition, with most of its original finish remaining. It has handling marks and minor corrosion consistent with its age. The checkering on the wooden grip panels is still present as well. The pistol appears to be mechanically sound, and well taken care of. Given the condition of this piece, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimation is 450-475 dollars. Please reach out with any questions.
