This is an old oil painting with a gold frame that my grandmother bought at auction in Europe back in the 40's. I know nothing about this painting, and I am trying to find out. I have attached several pictures. The frame is very sturdy and heavy and gold leaf, there is a lamp attached to it. The painting is about 3 to 4 feet high by 2-3 feet wide. I do not want to take it out of the frame, as I have read not to do that. Any help or suggestions on where to go would be awesome!

My grandmother purchased this in Europe in the early 1940's. That is all I know.
