H. Wildett fine furniture Louisville Kentucky, Black Walnut 3 legged end table
Was grandmother's
Dear John – This is a Queen Anne style tea table by Consider H. Willett a furniture firm from Kentucky who stopped production in 1962. The company was founded in 1932, so it is likely that your grandmother or her mother purchased this piece new. Most of their production is cherry but maple was available too. Because of the high quality, it’s one of the few 20th century manufacturers who has retained value and side tables sell at auction in the $100USD range. If you have any other questions let me know, otherwise, thank you for taking the time to submit to Mearto.
Sincerely,
Erin-Marie
I found one exactly like this table but it's been painted with chalk paint. I wonder if it decreases the value?
