Dear Dino,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and for the new photos.
Based on the images and available information this item is:
A Hand Knotted Turkish Hereke Rug on Silk from Capadoccia. The piece dates back to the period from 1980 to 2000. The piece is classically decorated with an Hereke pattern. Hereke Imperial factory where Hereke Rugs actually took their name from was established near Istanbul in Hereke in 19th century. It has a decoration of pale light colours with a central medallion.
The piece was knotted wool on cotton. The piece is in good condition without any visible problems. High quality knots.
Retail prices may vary.
2800 - 3400$
I would like to see the central medallion better. Also do you have any documents or additional information about this rug when you purchased it?
Ok. I will add a better picture of the central medallion today. I bought the rug in Turkey 2 weeks ago, I purchased directly from a family in a small village outside of Cappadocia
Can you please let me know anything you specifically would like to see? Or example of how I should take the pictures
