John Frederick Herring Sr. (1795-1865) was a highly renowned British painter best known for his depictions of horses, rural life, and farm animals during the 19th century. While he did not engrave these prints, they were done by engravers copying his paintings of the same name; some if not all of them were published by Lloyd Bros in London, circa 1860.
Herring's sporting prints can vary in value depending on condition. If these have been laid down, or if they are toned, have matburn or are light-struck, they would be worth less but assuming these are none of the above, they have a fair-market value at auction of about $150-200 each.
