I have 12 Salvador Dali color prints depicted on lithograph slides.

Description

I purchased 12 Salvador Dali hand signed color lithographs and which had originally been purchased from John Paul Loup, Fine Arts in January 1986. I bought these at an estate sale and I am a huge Dali fan, but I’m really not sure what to do with the lithographs themselves. I’m curious of the value and use case for lithographs. I have all of the documentation for the verification of their authenticity, and they are actually the 12 signs of the zodiac by Salvador Dali, I believe. I purchased these at an estate sale and wrote a check so can prove line of ownership given original sale was to a sweet neighbor who passed away.

What does this mean?

Hello,

The lithographs under consideration, attributed to Salvador Dalí, depict color imagery associated with his zodiac works. According to the attached documentation from Jean-Paul Loup, Fine Arts, these lithographs are hand-signed and created on “Arches” or “Rives” paper, considered high-quality materials.

Historical Context

Salvador Dalí (1904–1989) is renowned for his contributions to the Surrealist movement and his prolific artistic legacy. The “Zodiac” series and other similar collections explored themes of mysticism, mythology, and science. Lithographs hand-signed by Dalí often hold significant value depending on their authenticity, provenance, and condition. The documentation accompanying these works indicates a reputable source and claims authenticity, which, if verified, would contribute positively to their valuation.

Condition

The condition of the lithographs is described as excellent, with no apparent damage noted. They are accompanied by documentation verifying their authenticity and provenance, further enhancing their collectible value.
