A flint lock Indian brown Bess musket in fair condition due to its age it is EIC east in company engraved with 1799 and another on the barrel area with 1799 engraved along with the EIC insignia it also has Indian writing or engravings on the brass but plate and underneath near the trigger guard area the hammer for striking the pan is in fair condition due to age but has mechanism problems with the hammer not locking to be able to pull the trigger for it to release to strike the pan the white sling and sling swivels are not original they are reproductions and were added on other than that I know about the the rest of the musket is authentic and original obviously with wear and tear in areas
