acrylic and tempera paint, painting of IOTA, Infinitude Alpha the Omega
personal creative art
Watercolor on canvas is a somewhat unusual medium, as watercolor does not usually absorb into canvas unless a special absorbent ground is added to the canvas surface. You had not mentioned whether you have sold through gallery nor if you are a trained artist with a degree from an art school. In terms of an appraisal, for insurance purposes, the IRS will only recognize the cost of materials to produce this work; they will not accept an 'asking price' as a value. Bear in mind that an ‘asking price’ is one that has not been sold yet and a true sale value is based on actual past documented sale records. You can ask any price you please on any item you own, the key factor being finding a buyer at your pricepoint. The valuation here is for insurance purposes as a work you have created and covers only the supplies used to create the work.
thank you, no experience with painting or selling art . only interested in art as a beginning hobby . if it develops into something more, then a good thing .
All the best in your endeavors and yes, oil or acrylic on canvas works best as well as watercolor on paper
how popular are tempera and acrylic paints . most of these are mixtures of tempera and acrylic .
i plan to reproduce most of these works in oils
Tempera and acrylic are regularly used mediums on canvas, however oils are considered the top notch medium.
this feat began as family members gave to my brother water colors tempera paints to explore painting . this opportunity availed as I took advantage to explore as well .
I was thinking all watercolor included water soluble acrylic . all work created by me, tobias taoh, so far has been painted using tempera and acrylic paint
