Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The artist who signed their work "J. Hadland" has been the subject of several online conversations as they are not widely known; the general consensus is that it is NOTthe British artist John Walter Hadland (1832–c.1920). It has been suggested that this a factory-produced piece - probably in the late 20th Century and possibly in China. These pieces are ones that were produced on a fairly large scale and have more decorative than historic or artistic value.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
