What does this mean?

Hello Frankie,

Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. The item presented appears to be restrike woodblock after Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾 北斎, Japanese, 1760–1849) titled "Great Wave Off Kanagawa" (神奈川沖浪裏) from his series, "Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji" (富嶽三十六景). As you may know Hokusai was one of the most important ukiyo-e printmakers on the Edo period and this image is arguable his most reproduced work. Based on the provided images, this print appears to date to the early - mid 20th century.

The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of this work and other comparable woodblock after Hokusai, depending on size and age. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
