This is a pastel colored piece in blues and greens that measures 14 inches high and 8.5 inches at the base. It is pottery with a rough or coarse texture. There are interesting little circular motifs on close inspection here and there on the surface. There is a signature that is a little hard to make out and the year 1993.
This came from a small lot of pottery at auction/unknown.

Hi Rhonda,
I'm afraid the jury is out on this one - my friend showed photos to several people, all of whom are very in the know when it comes to contemporary pottery. They weren't able to identify the maker but shared the concensus that - based on the date and glaze - it was probably American studio art pottery.
Hello:
Yes, please do ask your friend if they can identify it. Thank you,
Rhonda
