Thank you for your appraisal submission. The work is an oil painting on canvas by Laura Davis (American, born 1954). It is titled "Abstract #1" and measures 20x20 inches. The work is signed to the lower right and verso, and features attributes inscribed to the verso. From the images and information provided, the work appears to be in good condition with moderate drying cracks to the center.
Davis is a North Carolina-based artist whose polychrome compositions feature expressionist style brushwork. She holds a BFA and received her MA from Fordham University, and has also completed multiple certificates from the likes of the Art Student League, Parsons, and Pratt. Davis' market record only reaches back to early 2023, however there is strong activity within the last month. The highest selling works are figural or representational, while there is no significant record of her abstract works.
