Oak, mission style, original tag, 62H"×48Wx12D
Auction
Dear Joann,
Thank you for your request. This is a bookcase in the so-called mission style made by the company Lifetime Furniture. The bookcase is made out of oak wood and has glass displayed door. The mission style refers to a chair design by A. J. Forbes made in 1894 and is characterized by simple, rectangular and vertical forms and strong grained oak wood. This piece was probably made around 1910.
An estimation would be between 2000 to 4000 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
Hello,
it would minor the value around 20%.
With best regards,
Georg
What would be the loss of value if one of the glass doors was broken and replaced with new glass?
