Hello Nancy,
Thank you very much for submitting your artwork for an appraisal.
The presented object appears to be an etching by Donald Shaw MacLaughlan (Canadian, 1876-1938) which depicts the Quai des Grands Augustins in Paris, printed in 1906. It measures approximately 19 x 23 inches, is in an original frame and looks to be in fair condition.
Impressions of this work are also in the permanent collections of the British Museum: https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/P_1949-0411-4674 and the Art Institute of Chicago: https://www.artic.edu/artworks/46453/quai-des-grands-augustins-paris
As far as I can tell, this particular work has not come up at auction as a single item in recent years. In 2012, an impression sold at Heritage Auctions in Texas in a lot of 10 etchings attributed to Donald Shaw MacLaughlan for $500. Based on the results for comparable items sold last year, I would estimate the current fair market value of your print at $100 to $200, though retail and asking prices may vary.
If you have any questions about my appraisal, please let me know in the comments section below. Thank you again for your submission and I hope that you have a wonderful day!
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Anne
