It is 6 inches long with a slide bar that is 3/4 inch to push in to change range tone. It was made in Germany and is stamped with “C” in the upper right corner in the metal. The tone is rich and it is in excellent working order. I do not see a date anywhere.
My father owned it. Otherwise unknown
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and description provided, the subject of this appraisal is a M. Hohner Chrometta 12 harmonica in the key of C, circa late 1950s to 1960s. According to the current owner, the piece was acquired via inheritance.
This vintage harmonica is in very good used condition and includes its original case. Were the piece in brand-new unplayed condition including all original packaging and paperwork, the value would be approximately $100 to $200. In very good used condition, similar pieces tend to sell via secondhand marketplaces including Reverb.com in the $30 to $40 range.
Thank you. I no longer wish to sell it.
