This Tray resembles those of the 1850 trays produced by the company. Beautiful black with Butterfly design on face. I have not be able to find this color. I don't find the Meissen of any other on the back.

Continental, mid 19th Century
Of square section with molded scalloped rim with rocaille corners, the center vibrantly decorated with a floral spray with butterflies. Unmarked.

CONDITION: appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, losses or repairs.
PROVENANCE: acquired at a thrift store

Hi Delia, The absence of marking is the issue. Multiple inspections and not successful. During my survey on online Meissen Trays led to light colors, where the mark or impressed letter/number was evident. First thought that the influence was Eastern. Thanks
