This Rug Purchased in the Sultanate of Oman in approx. 1978/1979. I do not to much information except, I was young and given to me. It was sold by a merchant there. I remember it was purchased for a larger sum of money, the carpet is inlayed. The tree and animals are higher than back ground of carpet. It has either hung on the wall of parents home or wrapped up. It has never been cleaned with any chemical. Never has layed on floor except to take photos. Very beautiful piece.

Dear Kally,
Thank you for the additional information and your patience.
Sadly regarding technical problems, the images and messages were not displayed. I apologize for the delay of the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a pictorial rug made out of wool or perhaps silk with the measurements of 6 x 4 feet. The rug depicts the motif of the Paradise Tree surrounded by animals. It was probably made in Persia in the second half of the 20th century in the area of Isfahan or Kashan.
This piece is in medium condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 300 to 600 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
