This miniature ( 17" x 5") was used by traveling salesmen. It is an actual scale model of the piece of furniture being sold. It has the antique stamp, but i am not sure the era. I understand it to be British in origin . There is glass
This item was originally bought by my grandmother, passed to my mother and then on to me. It was purchased in Cape Town South Africa from an antique dealer

A miniature Georgian mahogany stepback bookcase cabinet
English, late 18th Century
In two parts, the recessed upper part with dentiled molded cornice over mullioned glazed cabinet doors opening to an adjustable shelved interior, the lower part fitted with two short over two long drawers. Bears the circular label of The British Antiques Dealers Association.
