Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an icon style painting of Jesus with the sacred heart within an architectural frame. The frame decorated with turned wooden pillars, marquetry and mother of pearl inlay. This type of marquetry is typical for Syria and Palestine. The inscription below reads something like " fighting for God is most important and also doing good deeds". This was most likely a rather expensive travel souvenir from Jerusalem, possibly dating to the first half of the 20th century. The estimate is based on similar syrian marquetry items offered at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary.
