Not sure on all counts. This is why I need an appraisal or assessment. We inherited this furniture from my parents, who have passed away. All we know is it was brought over from the Orient MANY years ago. Antique mother of pearl on black 'lacquer' type of base. The wardrobe piece is very heavy, and the pieces definitely make a statement. They are beautiful. Not sure of the value, but my stepfather spoke of it as if it had more than just sentimental value.
