WW2 Vet grandfather who collected old weapons.
Dear Eric,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a German WWII bayonet made by the company Ernst Busch in Solingen Germany. The city of Solingen has a long tradition of producing blades and knives and many companies delivered military equipment for the German Army in both World Wars.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 80 to 150 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
