Olive green faux suede shearling jacket made by International Items Inc. I have included a photo of the tag that details the materials it’s made from. It’s in great condition and I have not seen any International Items Inc jackets online with similar tags - this one is different in that it says “created by” and New York, NY in the corner (even though it’s made in Japan). The color is red while I’ve seen purple on others.

Hi Kate,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It's not uncommon for tags to have the location of the company that designed it be different from the country in which it was manufactured - it's a practice that continues today.
Items International was a clothing brand popular in the 1980s, known for its brightly colored and boldly patterned designs. This label often featured unique, eye-catching graphics and patterns that fit in with the bold fashion trends of that era. Items International catered to people who wanted to make a statement with their outfits, especially in streetwear and casual wear.
Pieces from Items International are now considered vintage and can be collectible, with a certain nostalgic appeal for fans of retro fashion. The brand’s designs sometimes featured intricate illustrations or patterns that gave the clothing a distinct look. These garments can occasionally be found through vintage retailers or resale platforms, appreciated by collectors and those looking to capture a bit of '80s style.
In the current market for 1980s retro clothing, shearling jackets from MOST off-the-rack designers bring between $75-100.
