The gun has been in storage for 45 years. The bluing appears to be in good shape with areas of wear where expected. The serial number is 3556 and all parts are matched. The magazine is not matching with serial number but close 3542. The pistol is engraved on the grip frame B.T.C.A. 32. Possibly the 32nd division. The pistol appears completely functional, but I have not shot it. The case is a hard leather and is stamped by the manufacturer AWN B. 9/13. There is also a stamp of the unit 2Tel.Bat. 2K. Roman numeral 1 I believe this is 2nd Telephone Battalion , 2nd Company, 1st Column. This may also refer to the pistol engraving. There is no break down tool.

Hello, this item is an original German P08 Luger semi automatic pistol dated 1912, manufactured at the Erfurt Royal Arsenal, as indicated by the crown Erfurt marking on the toggle and receiver. The pistol is chambered in 9mm Parabellum and represents an early Imperial German military issue example produced prior to the First World War. The visible serial numbering appears consistent across major components, and the overall configuration aligns with standard military P08 specifications of the period, including the long barrel profile and correct toggle assembly. The accompanying brown leather holster shows Imperial German military acceptance markings and period construction, and the included single magazine is consistent in style with early military issue examples. As a dated Erfurt P08, this pistol holds strong historical significance, particularly in the context of pre war German military arms production.
Condition appears good overall for an early 20th century military sidearm, with honest wear to the blued finish, light surface patina, and handling marks consistent with age and service use. The grips show expected wear but remain intact, and the holster exhibits surface wear, creasing, and softened edges consistent with period leather. No major structural damage is visible in the provided images. On the current international collectors market, a 1912 Erfurt P08 Luger with holster and one magazine typically carries an insurance and fair market value in the range of USD 3,500 to USD 5,000, depending on originality, matching status, and mechanical condition.
