One more thought.. I did notice the "sribbles" in the background on the front are pretty dead on for everything I have seen.
Finally (sorry for so many questions).. if I were to authenticate it, how would that affect the price?
I had not noticed the signature and - because you had said in your initial notes that you were confident this was by him - I had figured it was not signed (yes, there are pieces that people have attributed to him that aren't signed). Yes, that is his signature so I will go ahead and change the attribution, value and include the measurements.
Are there other pieces that Britto may have done that were not signed? What does the "Dude" mean (if anything)? Honestly... I have looked at that signature hundreds of times and I can only make out the first letter as either a B or an A I thought there was an O and the last letter as an E... It looks nothing like anything I have seen online as signed by Britto if it was actually him. Do you know if Britto's company would even authenticate?
It is 15"tall and 5" wide.
