Print is 2-3/4" tall x 3-15/16" wide on heavy stock. Black ink. It's an illustration From La Clemestine
My niece who got it from an estate sale. In original frame, matting.
This is a vintage, 20th century, miniature, approximately 2.75" x 4", print of one of the images done by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) for his 1968/1971 La Celestine folio series of 66 miniature prints illustrating the character in a novel published by Fernando De Rojas in 1499. This is signed 'in plate' and not by hand. It is not a numbered limited edition. There does not appear to be a platemark, or indent in the paper around the image. This is likely not one of the print images from the original limited edition folios. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
Thank you for your kind words. Please feel free to request me anytime by adding "For Nora" at the beginning of a new request.
I am a fundraiser and routinely purchase items which are then auctioned to raise money. I have a very good eye, but occasionally need help monetizing value. I knew I had a very nice copy in original frame, but I didn't know how much it was worth. Because I do this to make money, I couldn't afford typical appraisal fees and the "free" appraisal service was useless. My Mearto appraiser did a complete, authoritative valuation so it was well worth my $15. I will be back!
