This has been reupholstered twice. The last was 70 years ago by my late grandmother.
I inherited this from my mother. This chair was my great-grandmother. 1800s era.

With elongated oval ears and baluster turned stiles flanking a rectangular upholstered back over five turned spindles, the turned swelled arms over a diagonal arm support, rectangular upholstered seat raised on shaped platforms, with front casters.
